The Concord Pavilion, which was formerly known as the Chronicle Pavilion and Sleep Train Pavilion, is an amphitheater found in Concord, California. The concord amphitheater has a seating capacity of over 12,500 people. The amphitheater was opened back in 1975. From 1975 to 2000, the amphitheater was known as the Concord Pavilion. The name then changed to Chronicle Pavilion from 2000 to 2006 and then to Sleep Train Pavilion from 2006 to 2013. But since 1975, the amphitheater has largely been used to host musical concerts both for local and international artists. Many local and national events are also held at the venue and a typical local community event is the annual jazz festival. Graduations for most local high schools also take place at the amphitheater every year.

The concord pavilion has a large parking space and this is thanks to the renovations that took place in the mid-1990s. The seats are also ample to accommodate thousands of people attending any event at the venue. This amphitheater has hosted many professional musical concerts and acts throughout the years it has been operating. Even today, people go to the venue to be entertained by different national and local musicians. The pavilion is perhaps widely known for hosting Bing Crosby's last US concert. In 1982, Lawrence Welk appeared at the Concord Pavilion to perform to thousands of audiences and his performance at the venue was termed as his farewell act. Many music promoters have also used the venue to look for the most talented people. 

The concord amphitheater is also known for hosting the First Battle of Bands for local middle school, elementary school and high school students. This happened in 2006 where a high school band known as Poster Boy was deemed the winner. As noted earlier, the amphitheater has a large parking area. But as is the case with all amphitheaters, getting out of the parking area after an event has finished is always tricky. Traffic tends to build up fast and people can spend many minutes within the area before finding their way home.

When it comes to facilities, it has enough washrooms that can be used by hundreds of people at the same time without queuing. The sound systems are good such that people seated far away from the main stage can be able to hear those performing live. The concord pavilion is large enough such that even if 12,000 people are seated in the venue, it does not feel crowded. The place only feels crowded after the end of the event. The gates are wide enough that they can allow hundreds of people to pass through them without causing a stampede.
